Rice 101 for Bulk Cooking

Adults love having guests over and children pretend to love having them over. Either way, all families invite guests to their house at some point, and to plan for their arrival, tons of labor goes on within the kitchen. Calling guests over without a feast to present is like writing with invisible ink - it just doesn't work. Although food may be a major component, what we frequently tend to overlook are a few basic etiquettes that compliment the culinary offering. Therefore apart from being an excellent cook, you should also have that serving talent in you.

So try these tips while serving food and become a host to remember!

1. Serve your guests first You should always serve your guests first as a matter of respect and courtesy, no matter how hungry you are!

2. Start with less Showing love by force-feeding the guests could seem impolite. So, start with less portions and build it up as per your guest’s appetite.

3. Keep water and tissue ready Make sure that water and tissue is placed within a hand's reach on the dining table.

4. Clear the clutter Make sure your house, your kitchen and specifically your dining table is tidy; and the crockery should be placed neatly at the serving area.

5. Correct usage of cutlery Have proper and separate serving spoons for every food preparation in order so it becomes easier to plate the food comfortably. Also, keep the spoon set on the dining table as well, this will help your guest to use them whenever they require.

6. Salt, sauces and pickles Keep some extra things on the dining table like salt, black pepper, spice, and jam while serving food. With this, if something is lacking in the food, your guest will manage it according to their taste.
